Why Take Liquid Vitamins?

Many of us believe that eating three balanced meals a day, with the recommended servings of fruit and vegetables, will provide us with all the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients our bodies need. Unfortunately, that’s not true. Many of us are missing out on essential vitamins and minerals, and we don’t even know it.

Vitamins are substances that the body needs in order to carry out all of its functions. However, vitamins are also substances that the body cannot make by itself – they have to be gotten from outside sources. In the modern world, it is difficult to get all the vitamins the body needs each day simply by eating a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. The fresh produce that we eat is often of low quality in terms of vitamin content, due to the use of pesticides, long-term storage, and poor soil quality.

This means that the best way of making sure that we get all the vitamins and essential nutrients, each and every day, is by taking a vitamin supplement that provides everything the body needs to maintain good health.

In the past, vitamins have been available only in pill form, but these days we have more options. For those of us who prefer not to take pills, or who are aware of new evidence concerning the efficiency of different types of vitamin supplements, liquid vitamins are the answer.

Liquid vitamins are thought by many experts to be absorbed much better by the body than vitamins in solid form. Vitamin pills contain many extra ingredients that the body simply does not need – chemicals like dextrose or polyethylene glycol which help the pill keep its shape, lubricants which make manufacturing easier, cellulose to help speed up absorption in the body, colors, flavors (often artificial), and fillers such as starch and salt. In your average vitamin pill, only a small proportion of the material is actually vitamins – the rest is additives that may actually prevent your body absorbing much of the vitamin content.

Liquid vitamins are different. They don’t need extra ingredients to provide bulk or adhesion, so when you take liquid vitamins, you are getting a much more concentrated source of nutrients. And, with the higher absorption rate that many experts believe liquid vitamins have, your body gets all the vitamins it needs much faster, so your body has a more consistent supply of these essential nutrients.
